Cheia (Arieș)

Cheia is a small river in the Apuseni Mountains, Alba County, western Romania. It is a right tributary of the Arieș River. The Cheia flows through the villages of Ponor and Vale în Jos and joins the Arieș near Sub Piatră. It is about 18 kilometers long with a drainage basin of around 53 square kilometers. Its waters eventually reach the Black Sea via the Arieș, Mureș, Tisza and Danube rivers.
