Charlotte Cardin
Charlotte Cardin is a Canadian singer from Montreal, born on November 9, 1994. She started as a model at 15 and gained fame by finishing in the top four on the TV show La Voix in 2013. She later sang with Garou and appeared on The Voice: la plus belle voix in France in 2014. Cardin released her first solo EP, Big Boy, in 2016, followed by Main Girl in 2017. She earned early JUNO nominations in 2018.
Her debut album Phoenix came out in 2021 and won Félix Awards, while her 2022 JUNO nominations made her the most-nominated artist that year, with nods including Artist of the Year and Album of the Year for Phoenix, plus Single and Video of the Year for "Meaningless." She released her second album, 99 Nights, in 2023; it won Juno Album of the Year and Pop Album of the Year in 2024 and was shortlisted for the Polaris Prize. She also released two EPs after 99 Nights: Une semaine à Paris and A Week in Nashville.
Cardin grew up in the Town of Mount Royal near Montreal. She has been dating French-Canadian actor and singer-songwriter Aliocha Schneider since 2016, and they sometimes perform together, including a duet version of the song "Ensemble" starting in 2024.
