Actina
Actina is a genus of flies in the soldier fly family Stratiomyidae. Its classification is: Kingdom Animalia; Phylum Arthropoda; Class Insecta; Order Diptera; Family Stratiomyidae; Subfamily Beridinae. The genus Actina was established by Meigen in 1804. The type species is Actina chalybea, described by Meigen in 1804. Synonyms include Allactina (Curran, 1924) and Metaberis (Lindner, 1936).
