"Chain Breaker" is Zach Williams' debut single from his first album Chain Breaker. It was released on May 24, 2016, and is a Christian country song lasting 3:16. The track was released by Essential Records and written by Zach Williams, Jonathan Smith, and Mia Fieldes, with producers Jonathan Smith and Zach Williams. It reached No. 1 on the Hot Christian Songs chart for nine weeks. The song has also been recorded by Triumphant Quartet on their Thankful album and by the Gaither Vocal Band on We Have This Moment. Williams and Smith co-wrote the song early in their collaboration, and Provident staff were eager to sign him after hearing it. The official music video premiered October 24, 2016 on Williams' Vevo channel. The video tells the story of a middle-aged woman overcoming addiction, with flashbacks of her daughter trying to show her that Jesus loves her; in the end, the mother is sober and greets her daughter at the door, holding one of the drawings.
