Chūrui, Hokkaido
Chūrui (忠類村, Chūrui-mura) was a village in Hiroo District, Tokachi Subprefecture, Hokkaido, Japan. In 2004, it had about 1,802 residents and covered 137.54 square kilometers, with a population density of about 13 people per square kilometer. The village's flower was Phlox subulata and the tree was Betula platyphylla. On February 6, 2006, Chūrui merged into the expanded town of Makubetsu and is now part of Makubetsu in Nakagawa (Tokachi) District.
