Cathy Olesen
Cathy Olesen (born around 1961 in Winnipeg, Manitoba) is a Canadian politician from Alberta. She served on Strathcona County Council starting in 1995 as Ward 4 councillor, then as mayor from 2004 to 2010, losing the 2010 election to Linda Osinchuk. In 2012 she moved to provincial politics, winning the Progressive Conservative nomination for Sherwood Park by just one vote over Susan Timanson and then being elected as the MLA for Sherwood Park on April 23, 2012. She served as MLA until May 5, 2015, when she was defeated by Annie McKitrick. She is married to Rex Adam and has four children.
