Carlos Walter Galán Barry (May 31, 1925 – January 25, 2003) was a Catholic church leader in Argentina. He was born in Nueve de Julio and became a priest on September 19, 1953. On February 11, 1981, he was named auxiliary bishop of Buenos Aires and titular bishop of Cediae. He served as auxiliary bishop of Morón from 1981 to 1991 and was consecrated as a bishop on March 25, 1981, by Cardinal Raúl Primatesta, with Justo Oscar Laguna and Jorge Carlos Carreras as co-consecrators. On May 8, 1991, he was appointed archbishop of La Plata and took office on July 27, 1991. He served there until his retirement on June 12, 2000, at age 75. As a bishop, he was the main consecrator of Guillermo José Garlatti, archbishop of Bahía Blanca, and Martín de Elizalde, bishop of Nueve de Julio. He died on January 25, 2003.
