Candymonium is a steel roller coaster at Hersheypark in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Built by Bolliger & Mabillard, it is a Hyper Coaster and part of the park’s Chocolatetown expansion. It opened on July 3, 2020, after FAA height approval of up to 220 feet.

The ride is 210 feet tall, with a 216-foot drop and a top speed of 76 mph. It runs on 4,636 feet of track and has no inversions. The ride lasts about 2 minutes and 26 seconds. There are three trains, each with seven cars; riders sit four across in a single row, for 28 riders per train. The trains are themed as Reese’s, Kisses, and Twizzlers.

The course climbs the lift hill, plunges down, then goes through a series of airtime hills, a hammerhead turn, camelback hills, and several twists and turns, including a right-hand helix and a long left turn into the final brakes. The track is chocolate brown with light gray supports and covers about 7 acres.

Candymonium was marketed as the “world’s sweetest coaster.” It helped anchor Chocolatetown, a 23-acre area with a new entrance and shops. Because of COVID-19, opening was staggered with limited park attendance and masks while waiting for the ride.

In 2021, Candymonium was ranked the 5th best steel roller coaster in the world by Amusement Today.
