CRISP3
CRISP3, or cysteine-rich secretory protein 3, is a human gene on chromosome 6 that makes a secreted protein. It belongs to the CRISP family and is thought to help with immune defense and tissue remodeling, including processes in neutrophils.
The gene has several aliases, such as CRISP-3 and SGP28. CRISP3 is expressed in many tissues, especially in secretory glands and immune-related areas like bone marrow and mucosal linings, and it is also found in reproductive and olfactory tissues. The mouse version of this gene is similar, indicating a conserved role across species.
In database terms, CRISP3 is linked to external references such as OMIM and GeneCards, and it has a mouse ortholog named Crisp3.
