Céou
The Céou is a river in southwestern France, running through the Lot and Dordogne departments. It is about 55 kilometers (34 miles) long. The river’s source is at Séniergues, near Rocamadour, at an elevation of around 275 meters. It flows generally northwest and is a left tributary of the Dordogne River, which it joins at Castelnaud-la-Chapelle, about 9 kilometers southwest of Sarlat-la-Canéda. The Céou’s drainage basin covers about 610 square kilometers, and its average discharge is around 3.37 cubic meters per second. The waters eventually reach the Atlantic Ocean via the Dordogne and the Gironde estuary.
