Bryan Dumesnil
Bryan William Dumesnil (born September 19, 1983) is a Canadian former professional baseball pitcher from Nanaimo, British Columbia. He bats right and throws left. He played for the Nanaimo Pirates in the BC Premier Baseball League and represented Canada in international play, including the 2009 World Baseball Classic (he did not appear in any games) and the 2009 Baseball World Cup.
Dumesnil started his pro career in 2002 when he signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers, playing in the Gulf Coast League and for the Ogden Raptors. He signed with the Baltimore Orioles in 2004, splitting time with the Bluefield Orioles and Aberdeen IronBirds. In 2006 he joined the Quebec Capitales of the Can-Am League and won the league championship. In 2007 the Atlanta Braves purchased his contract and assigned him to the Rome Braves, finishing the year with the Myrtle Beach Pelicans. In 2008 he returned to Myrtle Beach, earned an All-Star honor, and moved up to Double-A with the Mississippi Braves, who won the league title. In 2009 he began in Double-A Mississippi but was released by the Braves and then signed by the Toronto Blue Jays, who placed him with the Double-A New Hampshire Fisher Cats. From 2010 to 2012 he played for the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs of the Atlantic League.
