British NVC community OV11, the Poa annua – Stachys arvensis community, is an open-habitat group in the British National Vegetation Classification. It is one of eight arable weed and wasteland communities that grow on fertile loams and clays. The community is regionalised and has two recognised subcommunities. Its constant species include Poa annua (annual meadow-grass) and Stachys arvensis (field woundwort). One rare species is associated with the community. OV11 is mainly found in south-west England and Wales, usually among cereal crops on loams and clay-loams that are not highly lime-rich.
