Brigitte Bodenheimer
Brigitte Marianne Levy Bodenheimer (September 27, 1912 – January 7, 1981) was a German-American lawyer who specialized in family law. She taught at the S.J. Quinney College of Law and the UC Davis School of Law.
Born in Berlin to Ernst Levy and Zerline Wolff, she graduated from the University of Heidelberg in 1934. As a Jewish woman, she left Nazi Germany that year and pursued legal studies in the United States at Columbia Law School, where she met her husband, Edgar Bodenheimer. They married in 1935. She also studied at the University of Washington School of Law.
Brigitte Bodenheimer died in Davis, California, on January 7, 1981, at the age of 68.
