Brandywine Workshop and Archives
Brandywine Workshop and Archives (BWA) is a nonprofit in Philadelphia that makes limited-edition screen-printed fine art. It was founded in 1972 by Allan L. Edmunds as the Brandywine Graphic Workshop. It began in North Philadelphia and became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in 1974. The studio later moved to 1520 Kater Street and then to 730 South Broad Street. BWA offers education programs and artist residencies from across the United States. Its prints are in major museums, including the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, and the Harvard Art Museums. The Philadelphia Museum of Art hosted a retrospective in 2012, Full Spectrum: Prints from the Brandywine Workshop. In 2022, Harvard Art Museums hosted Prints from the Brandywine Workshop and Archives: Creative Communities.
