Bougainville bush warbler

The Bougainville bush warbler, or odedi, is a small bird found only on Bougainville Island in Papua New Guinea. Its scientific name is Horornis haddeni. It was described as a new species in 2006 and is now placed in the cettiid warbler family.

It was previously considered part of the Old World warblers, but has since been moved to the Cettiidae family.

Where it lives: Known only from the Crown Prince Range on Bougainville Island.

Conservation status: Near Threatened (IUCN Red List, 3.1).
