Bolano (Ligurian: Bolan) is a small town (comune) in the province of La Spezia, in the Liguria region of Italy. It lies about 80 km southeast of Genoa and 11 km northeast of La Spezia. The town covers 14.7 square kilometers. In 2004, about 7,490 people lived there. The residents are called Bolanesi. Bolano borders Aulla, Follo, Podenzana, Santo Stefano di Magra, Tresana, and Vezzano Ligure.
