Bi Jingjing
Bi Jingjing (born 1954 in Beijing) is a senior officer in the Chinese army, holding the rank of lieutenant general in the People’s Liberation Army. He joined the PLA in 1970 and spent most of his career at the PLA National Defence University, where he served as vice president from December 2012 to July 2017. He was promoted to major general in 2005 and to lieutenant general in 2014. Bi was a member of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference. During the Cultural Revolution, at age 14, he was sent to Yan’an, Shaanxi, to work on a farm as a “sent-down youth.” His ancestral home is in Huantai County, Shandong.
