Blue Origin NS-22 was a sub-orbital spaceflight by Blue Origin using the New Shepard rocket. It launched from Corn Ranch, Texas on August 4, 2022 at 8:56:07 am CDT and landed there about 9:06:27 am CDT, after a 10 minute 20 second flight that reached an altitude of 107 km (66 miles). The flight carried six passengers—Coby Cotton, Mário Ferreira, Vanessa O'Brien, Clint Kelly III, Sara Sabry, and Steve Young—nicknamed the Titanium Feather. Sara Sabry became the first Egyptian and the first Arab woman in space, and Mário Ferreira became the first Portuguese person in space. Cotton’s flight was sponsored by MoonDAO. Vanessa O'Brien completed the Explorers' Extreme Trifecta by traveling to the bottom of the Challenger Deep, ascending Mount Everest, and flying into space. NS-22 was Blue Origin's sixth crewed flight and the 22nd flight overall to reach space.
