Billy MacKinnon
William Muir MacKinnon (18 January 1852 – 24 May 1942) was a Scottish footballer who played as a forward for Queen's Park and the Scotland national team in the 1870s. He helped Queen's Park win the first three Scottish Cup finals (1874–1876) and the first Glasgow Merchants Charity Cup in 1877. He earned nine caps for Scotland from 1872 to 1879 and scored five goals. Known as a brilliant dribbler, he was the only player to appear in all of Scotland’s first seven official international matches, making him the early international caps record holder until 1881. Outside football, he was an ironworks engineer and enjoyed music and singing. He was not related to teammate Angus MacKinnon.
