Leire Landa
Leire Landa Iroz, born December 19, 1986 in Irun, Spain, is a former football defender. She played for Real Sociedad, Atlético Madrid, Athletic Club and FC Barcelona in Spain’s top league during her career.
She represented Spain internationally, earning 26 caps between 2011 and 2015, and also played for the Basque Country. She participated in the UEFA Women's Euro 2013 in Sweden and the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup in Canada. At Atlético Madrid, she wore the number 23 shirt in tribute to Iván de la Peña, who inspired her during her battle with Burkitt's lymphoma as a child.
