Bidzina Cholokashvili
Saint Bidzina Cholokashvili (Georgian: ბიძინა ჩოლოყაშვილი) died about 1660 and is venerated by the Georgian Orthodox Church. His feast day is October 1.
He was a leader in the Bakhtrioni Uprising of 1659. In the 1630s he served as a high official in Kakheti, and he supported Teimuraz in his feud with Rostom. In 1648 Teimuraz sent him to invade Ertso to bring Ertso-Tianeti under the king.
After another uprising, the shah summoned Bidzina along with Shalva and Elizbar Eristavi. They refused to renounce their faith, so they were handed over to tribes who had fought in the uprising. Bidzina was tortured and killed.
