Bernhard Eichhorn
Bernhard Eichhorn (April 17, 1904 – February 6, 1980) was a German composer who wrote music for many films. He was born in Schortewitz, in the German Empire. In 1927 he studied at the Munich music academy under Arthur Kutscher. In 1927/28 he worked as a répétiteur at the Bavarian State Opera and then as Kapellmeister at the Bayerische Landesbühne. From 1934 to 1944 he was music director at the Staatstheater Dresden. From 1945 to 1947 he served as Kapellmeister at the Städtische Bühnen München. After that he worked as a freelance composer for film, radio, television, and the stage. He died in Miesbach, Bavaria, West Germany, at age 75.
