Garrucha is a small coastal town and municipality in Almería province, Andalusia, Spain. It lies on the Mediterranean Sea, on the right bank of the Antas river. The town covers about 8 square kilometers and sits around 24 meters above sea level. As of January 1, 2025, about 10,845 people live there.

The harbour is sheltered by an 18th‑century castle. Today it mainly ships gypsum from nearby Sorbas (about 1 million tonnes each year) and also has a small fishing fleet and about 300 berths for leisure boats.

Garrucha has a hot, dry climate with mild winters and hot summers, and very little rain. Temperatures rarely fall below 5 C or rise above 35 C. It is one of the driest places in Europe.

The town hosts a local football team, P.D. Garrucha, in a provincial league, playing at the Emilio Moldenhauer stadium. There are also coastal sports facilities—a harbour-side basketball court, a five‑a‑side court, and beachfront volleyball courts. A new gym opened in 2015. The area attracts visitors from Spain and other parts of Europe, who enjoy seafront bars and restaurants serving fresh fish and local farm products.

Garrucha is governed by Mayor María Antonia López Cervantes (PSOE).
