Ben Griscti
Ben Griscti is an Australian basketball player who plays center for the Adelaide 36ers in the National Basketball League (NBL). He was born on 4 July 2002 in Adelaide, South Australia, and he is 211 cm tall and weighs 110 kg.
Early life and junior career
Griscti grew up in Adelaide and played his junior basketball with the Sturt Sabres, competing in the NBL1 Central league in 2019.
College basketball
Griscti moved to the United States to play college basketball. He signed with the Incarnate Word Cardinals in 2021 and played there through the 2022–23 season, averaging 5.3 points and 3.4 rebounds per game. He transferred to UC Riverside for the 2023–24 season, where he averaged 7.8 points and 3.3 rebounds per game.
Return to Australia and professional career
Griscti returned to Australia in 2024 and played again for the Sturt Sabres in NBL1 Central. On 21 May 2024, he signed a three-year contract with the Adelaide 36ers in the NBL. He had drawn interest from AFL clubs but chose to focus on basketball.
National team
Griscti has represented Australia in two games for the Boomers during the 2025 FIBA Asia Cup qualification.
Injury
On 30 August 2025, a backboard fell on Griscti during a shootaround at AIS Arena, resulting in a fractured vertebra and delaying the start of the 2025–26 NBL season.
