Beamtree
Beamtree is a health data analytics company based in Sydney, Australia. It was founded in 1996 and is headquartered in New South Wales. Tim Kelsey became CEO in December 2020, and in August 2021 Mark Britnell was named chair of Beamtree’s Global Impact Committee. The company opened an international division in the UK in 2021.
Beamtree funds an Associate Professor of Clinical Informatics and Data Science at the University of Sydney and has a partnership with the university. It partnered with the Central Adelaide Local Health Network to roll out the RISQ data quality product across four hospitals, support clinical decision-making for pathology services, and integrate the Ainsoff Index into the electronic medical record to detect deterioration early. In March 2022, Beamtree signed contracts with four NHS hospital trusts in England to use its RippleDown decision support technology. It also has a five-year contract with Ampath for RippleDown, which automates up to 90% of clinical interpretations.
In 2021, Beamtree acquired Ainsoff Pty Ltd and Potential(x), Australian analytics firms. Ainsoff’s founders, Dr Levi Bassin and Dr David Bell, joined Beamtree. The company reports annual revenue of about £300,000.
