Bassprov
Bassprov is a two-person longform improv comedy show. The main characters are Donny Weaver and Earl Hinkle, two middle-aged blue-collar men from central Indiana who love fishing and talking about sports. Each performance starts with an audience suggestion about a current event and “something you can stick your fingers in,” and then the actors improvise a completely spontaneous dialogue that ties the suggestion to events from the characters’ lives, all while they fish.
Bassprov has been performed across the United States and around the world at festivals, clubs, and colleges. It has won awards including the Nichols & May Award for Comedy Duo of the Year from the Chicago Improv Festival and Chicago’s Best Comedy Group by Bass Ale.
