Balbins
Balbins is a small farming area in southeastern France, in the Isère department of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. It used to be its own commune, but on January 1, 2019 it merged with Ornacieux to form the new commune Ornacieux-Balbins. The place lies about 40 km northwest of Grenoble, just west of La Côte-Saint-André. The village is mainly farmland and blends into Ornacieux. Access roads are the D73 from La Côte-Saint-André (passing just south of the village) and the D518A to the east, connecting to the D71 and D518 routes. The area covers about 17.3 square kilometers and had 458 residents in 2022. Elevation ranges from about 347 to 530 meters. People from BalBins are called Balbinois (men) or Balbinoises (women).
