Ayden Duffy
Ayden Stuart Duffy (born 16 November 1986) is a former English football goalkeeper. Born in Kettering and raised in Colsterworth, he joined Lincoln City’s academy in 2003 on a three-year scholarship and spent time on work experience with local non-league clubs.
Duffy spent most of his career with Lincoln City, making five League appearances between 2004 and 2009. While with Lincoln he went on several loan spells to non-league teams, including Grantham Town, Bourne Town, Buxton, Lincoln Moorlands Railway, Stamford (where he helped them win promotion to the Southern League Premier Division), and Cambridge United. In the 2006–07 season he signed a one-year professional contract with Lincoln City; a broken leg ended his season with Worksop Town on loan. He made his professional Lincoln debut on 12 April 2008, and his first home appearance on 19 April 2008. He was released by Lincoln City on 5 May 2009.
After leaving Lincoln, Duffy played briefly for Corby Town, Gainsborough Trinity, Hyde United and Grantham Town, and later had spells with Staveley Miners Welfare, Shepshed Dynamo, Retford United and Histon.
Off the pitch, Duffy is a physical education teacher and serves as joint head of enrichment at Hills Road Sixth Form College.
