Awa Traoré (actress)
Awa Traoré (Arabic: أوا تراوري) is a Malian filmmaker and actress. She works as a director, assistant director, composer and writer. She started her career with the 1995 film L'enfant noir. Earlier, she played the huntress in the 1993 short Denko, directed by Mohamed Camara. Denko received praise and won several awards, including the Grand Prix at the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival, Best Short Film at the Fribourg International Film Festival, and the Golden Danzante at the Huesca Film Festival.
