Choc Nut
Choc Nut is a popular Filipino chocolate bar made with peanuts, sugar, milk powder, cocoa powder, and vanilla. It’s produced by Annie’s Sweets Manufacturing and Packaging Corporation in the Philippines. The brand started with New Unity Sweets Manufacturing Corporation in Malabon, and in 2013 ownership moved to Annie’s Sweets. In 2018, they added a sweetened chocolate peanut spread to the line.
Choc Nut is mainly sold in the Philippines, but you can also find it in Asian supermarkets and Filipino stores overseas. Many restaurants and cafes in the Philippines use Choc Nut as an ingredient in desserts, drinks, and even some cocktails. The bars come in two package sizes: 24-piece King packs (twenty-four 8-gram bars) and 16-piece SP packs (sixteen 16-gram bars). Each bar is individually wrapped.
The packaging is bronze with white and red lines, and the bars are wrapped in paper-backed foil with the brand logo. Choc Nut has become a pop culture icon, featured in the Trese graphic novels and the related animated series.
