Attitudes!
Attitudes! is a weekly English‑language comedy podcast about women’s rights, LGBTQ+ rights, progressive politics, and pop culture. It’s hosted by Erin Gibson (Feminasty) and Bryan Safi (Homosensual). Each episode features their witty back-and-forth, occasional interviews, and a segment where they discuss a gender or LGBTQ+ issue. The show ends with readings of listener reviews and recommendations for music, TV, or movies.
The show started as Throwing Shade, debuting on November 9, 2011. It joined the Maximum Fun network in 2012 and won the People’s Choice Podcast Award for Best LGBT Podcast in 2012 and 2013. A TV version aired on TV Land in 2017 but lasted one season. After leaving Maximum Fun in 2017, Throwing Shade moved to Earwolf and was renamed Attitudes! in 2020. In 2021, after leaving Earwolf with Episode 502, Gibson and Safi relaunched the show on Patreon as an independent program.
Bryan Safi is a writer, actor, director, and TV personality known for That's Gay on Current TV, appearances on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Fashion Police, The Big Bang Theory, Modern Family, Superstore, and You, among other projects. Erin Gibson is a writer, comedian, and actress whose work includes HuffPost contributions, the Emmy-nominated Gay of Thrones, and the book Feminasty; she has appeared on Kroll Show, Key & Peele, and Parks and Recreation, and has worked as a showrunner on various projects.
Attitudes! continues as a listener-supported show on Patreon, keeping its focus on issues of gender and LGBTQ+ rights delivered with humor.
