Mount Carmel Naval Base, also known as Betzet, is the Israeli Navy’s main logistics base near Mount Carmel in northern Israel. It takes care of all logistics, equipment, and transport for the Navy, and supports shipbuilding. The base also handles weapons and ammunition, and hosts an engine workshop for ship repairs and the MFTAH Unit. It moved from Kishon to HaHotrim Camp south of Mount Carmel starting in 1999. HaHotrim is the Haifa District HQ for the Home Front Command.
