Assunta Marchetti (15 August 1871 – 1 July 1948) was an Italian Catholic nun who co-founded the Missionary Sisters of Saint Charles Borromeo, known as the Scalabrinian Sisters. Born in Lombrici di Camaiore, Italy, she faced family hardships after her father died in 1893. In 1895 she went to Brazil to help Italian immigrants, with her priest brother Giuseppe and others. There she and Giuseppe founded the Scalabrinian Sisters to care for orphans and migrants. She took her eternal vows in 1897 and worked in Brazil until her death in São Paulo in 1948. The Catholic Church beatified her on 25 October 2014 in São Paulo, and her feast day is 1 July. Her brother Giuseppe Marchetti is recognized as a Venerable in the sainthood process.
