Federal Dam is a very small city in Cass County, Minnesota, United States, near Leech Lake. As of 2020, 123 people lived there. It is part of the Brainerd Micropolitan Statistical Area.

History and naming
A post office opened in 1910. The city got its name from a nearby dam built by the federal government.

Geography
The city covers about 2.27 square miles, almost all land. County Road 8 is a main route, with nearby County Roads 4 and 63. The Leech Lake River flows nearby.

Population and demographics
- 2010 census: 110 people, 49 households, 26 families. Population density was about 49 people per square mile. The racial makeup was roughly 56% White, 24% Native American, and 20% two or more races. The median age was 48, and the population was about evenly split by gender.
- 2000 census: 101 people, 43 households. The median household income was about $22,900, and per capita income was about $12,400. A portion of residents lived below the poverty line, including about 18.5% of families and 28% of the population.
