Ararat Sarkissian (born 1956 in Gyumri) is an Armenian post-modernist conceptual artist living in Yerevan. He is a member of the European Academy of Natural Sciences and the International Association of Art, and he is the father of artist Arshak Sarkissian.

His works are in major museums and galleries, including the National Gallery of Armenia, the Tretyakov Gallery, the Modern Art Museum of Yerevan, the Singapore Armenian Heritage Gallery, the Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts, and the Yerevan Printmaking Museum, among others.

In 2013, Sarkissian represented Armenia at the Venice Biennale. The Armenian pavilion at San Lazzaro degli Armeni featured a piece that combined the medieval Armenian epic Daredevils of Sassoun with ancient clay-roller animation.
