Aplysia pulmonica
Aplysia pulmonica is a species of sea slug in the genus Aplysia. It belongs to the family Aplysiidae and can reach about 58 millimeters in length. The body is elongated with a noticeable rear part, and the foot ends in a short tail. Its bronze-green color is marked with dark, net-like veins. It has a small siphon opening. The head is blunt and slightly split into two lobes. The front tentacles are short and ear-shaped, while the neck tentacles are cone-shaped and lightly banded. This species lives in the marine waters around Samoa in the Pacific Ocean. It has also been called Tethys pulmonica and Tethys pulmonica var. tryoniana in older classifications.
