Angelis Charalambous
Angelis Charalambous, also known as Angelis Angeli, is a Cypriot footballer who plays as a centre back for Omonia 29M and has appeared for the Cyprus national team. He was born on 31 May 1989 in Larnaca, Cyprus, and is 1.89 meters tall.
He began his career with Anorthosis Famagusta in Cyprus. In June 2010, he moved to Scotland to join Motherwell after impressing their coaches during friendly games in Cyprus. He signed a one-year contract with an option for a second year and was on the bench for a Europa League match against Breiðablik, but he did not play. He was released on 1 June 2011 without making a first-team appearance.
Charalambous played for Cyprus U21, earning eight caps and scoring one goal between 2009 and 2010. He later earned nine caps for the Cyprus senior team from 2011 to 2013.
After Scotland, he played for Ermis Aradippou, Apollon Limassol, Enosis Neon Paralimni, IFK Mariehamn, Karmiotissa, and AEZ Zakakiou. In 2025, he joined Omonia 29M.
Personal note: Before moving to Scotland, he served as a tank commander in the Cypriot army.
