Amazon Trail II is a 1996 educational simulation game for Macintosh and Windows. Made by The Adventure Company and published by MECC, it is the second game in the Amazon Trail series and a spin-off of The Oregon Trail. It follows The Amazon Trail and comes before Amazon Trail 3rd Edition. It was bundled with Quantex 5500 and in the Trail Mix Social Studies Bundle with The Oregon Trail 3rd Edition and MayaQuest: The Mystery Trail, and was also included in the Quantex QP6/333 M-1c software package. Richard D. Thompson directed the video elements. The game was donated to The Strong National Museum of Play.

The game starts with a mysterious incident at the Museum of Ancient Art that sends you to the Amazon. Your goal is to find a local cure for a disease and reach the city of Vilcabamba. Like The Oregon Trail, you travel by canoe up the Amazon River and learn about its culture, ecology, and history. There are three difficulty levels. You earn points by staying healthy, using resources wisely, and talking with characters in the right way. You can make it onto the high score list. It features a fishing meter for harpoon accuracy, four river guides, 17 assignments, and 50 characters. Tour guides ask questions to move the story forward.

Critics praised the game for its exciting journey, attractive graphics, and engaging sound effects, though some found parts frustrating. MECC called it one of the most compelling interactive adventures.
