Always Kickin'
Always Kickin' is a 19-minute sports comedy short from 1932. It was produced by E.W. Hammons and distributed by Educational Pictures. Jim Thorpe appears as himself in a supporting role as a football coach. The cast also includes Eugene Pallette, Lucile Webster Gleason, Russell Gleason, and Eddie Dunn. James Gleason directed the short, with a story by Charles W. Paddock. It is part of a trilogy of sports-themed shorts written by Paddock for Educational Films Corporation. The other two films in the series are Off His Base (which features a cameo by Jim Thorpe and Mike Donlin) and A Hockey Hick.
