Alvin Fortes
Alvin Mateus Fortes (born 25 May 1994 in Rotterdam) is a Cape Verdean footballer who plays as a winger for Malaysia’s Selangor, wearing number 11. He trained in the Netherlands with Sparta Rotterdam, UVS and Feyenoord, and later joined Nike Academy’s The Chance program. Fortes signed his first professional contract with PS Kemi Kings in Finland in 2013, and then played for clubs in several countries, including RKC Waalwijk, TOP Oss, Boluspor, Zbrojovka Brno, Dila Gori, Kaisar, AGMK, Ratchaburi and Nongbua Pitchaya (on loan), before moving to Selangor in 2024. Internationally, he represents Cape Verde and made his debut on 1 June 2018 in a friendly victory over Algeria. After a long break, he returned to the national team on 29 May 2025 in a friendly against Malaysia; he has 2 caps.
