All over the UK
All Over the UK is the debut studio album by British happy hardcore duo Force & Styles. It was released on 26 August 1996 on United Dance Recordings after the pair had worked as DJ Force & the Evolution since 1993. Paul Hobbs and Darren Mew formed Force & Styles in 1995 and started their own label, UK Dance Records, to put out their music. The album was recorded in 1995–1996 at UK Dance Studios in Clacton-on-Sea, Essex and produced by Force & Styles with Eruption and Dougal. It reached No. 103 on the UK Albums Chart.
Most tracks were released as 12-inch singles on UK Dance Records, and two songs were later issued on the Diverse label: Paradise & Dreams featuring Junior came out in October 1996 and peaked at No. 106, and a remixed version of Heart of Gold with extra production by Eliot Kennedy and Tim Lever and Mike Percy featuring Kelly Llorenna was released in July 1998 and peaked at No. 55.
Some tracks later appeared on Force & Styles’ compilation Heart of Gold (2000). The Heart of Gold recording with Kelly Llorenna was released as a solo single in 2002, produced by Flip & Fill, reaching No. 19.
The album’s songs were also covered by others: Pretty Green Eyes was covered by Ultrabeat in 2003 and reached No. 2. Other Force & Styles tracks were covered later, including Field of Dreams, Frankie’s Lead and Pacific Sun. Paradise & Dreams was covered by The Force in 2003 and by Ultrabeat vs. Darren Styles in 2007.
