Albert T. Annexstad
Albert T. Annexstad (September 17, 1940 – July 8, 2023) was an American businessman and philanthropist. Born in St. Peter, Minnesota, he studied at Minnesota State University, Mankato. He began his career in marketing at Federated Mutual Insurance Company in 1965 and later led the company as President and CEO (1999–2012) and Chairman (2000–2012) before retiring in 2012. He was named to the Minnesota Business Hall of Fame in 2006 and received the Horatio Alger Award in 2010. In 2000, he and his wife Cathy started the Annexstad Family Foundation to help Big Brothers Big Sisters alumni attend college. He served on the Gustavus Adolphus College Board of Trustees and received an honorary doctorate there in 2005. He died July 8, 2023, in Tiger, Georgia, at age 82. He was survived by his wife, Cathy, and his children, Thomas Annexstad and Patti Marinovich.
