Alan Steen
Alan Steen (1922–26 August 2012) was an English footballer who played as a winger. He started his career with Wolverhampton Wanderers, making his first-team debut in March 1939 at age 16 and scoring in a 3–0 win against Manchester United. World War II interrupted his playing days; he served in the RAF, was shot down in October 1943, and spent the rest of the war as a prisoner of war at Stalag IV-B. After the war, he played in the Football League for Luton Town, Aldershot, Rochdale and Carlisle United. His league totals include: Luton Town 10 games, 0 goals; Aldershot 9 games, 0 goals; Rochdale 45 games, 8 goals; Carlisle United 19 games, 2 goals. In total, he made more than 83 league appearances and scored at least 10 goals.
