Rainbow-Colored History is a digital EP by the J-pop group Strawberry Prince, released on July 31, 2023 to celebrate their seventh anniversary. The opening track, Rainbow-Colored History, thanks fans and the rest of the EP mixes theme songs for other projects, songs from their Here We Go!! tour in early 2023, and new tracks.

The EP was mainly written and composed by group member Root, with guest appearances from TeddyLoid and HoneyWorks. It topped Japanese digital album charts in August, recording over 1,400 downloads.

Three singles supported the release: Chocolate Love (February 5, 2023), The Happiest Memory (March 5, 2023), and Hanamirai (April 2, 2023). Music videos for these songs were released during the Here We Go!! tour, with Chocolate Love at Pia Arena MM in January, The Happiest Memory at Yokohama Arena in March, and Hanamirai at Saitama Super Arena in April.

Strawberry Prince in 2023 is made up of Satomi, Colon, Rinu, and Root. Rainbow-Colored History uses seven rainbow colors to symbolize the group's seven years and expresses gratitude to listeners. Rinu described the EP as a collection of tour memories, new songs meant to bring joy, and songs that are sparkly and fun.

Some tracks connect to other projects. STPRQuest is the theme for the group’s TV show, SutoPuri Quest, and is a pop song with playful chatter. Re STARt is an insert song for the anime film Re:Stars: Mirai e Tsunagu Futatsu no Kiraboshi, featuring Rinu in a lead role. The Happiest Memory is their first graduation-themed song, encouraging listeners to move toward the future while cherishing past moments. Hanamirai (Flower Future) is a warm mid-tempo ballad for autumn enrollment season, a time of hope and uncertainty.

Root wrote many of the songs, with lyricist Toku and composer Matsu; on STPRQuest, Rinu contributed to the lyrics with the chattering parts. TeddyLoid contributed as composer/lyricist on Yura Yura (Swaying), marking his third collaboration with Strawberry Prince. Chocolate Love was the theme for their Meiji candy collaboration, with HoneyWorks also writing and composing The Happiest Memory and Chocolate Love; HoneyWorks had previously worked with them on Seishun Chocolate in 2022.

Before the EP’s release, Chocolate Love, The Happiest Memory, and Hanamirai appeared as singles, with music videos shown on the Here We Go!! tour. A preview video for the album arrived on July 23, and on July 24 four songs—Rainbow-Colored History, STPRQuest, Yura Yura, and ReSTARt—were released early with a pre-save wallpaper campaign. Yura Yura was also performed publicly on NHK’s Venue101 Presents.

Rainbow-Colored History was released digitally by STPR Records. It debuted at number one on the Billboard Japan and Oricon digital download charts in August, then dropped off the Oricon list after two weeks but stayed in Billboard Japan’s top 100 for three weeks. The EP’s videos included Rainbow-Colored History (June 4), STPRQuest (July 2), and Yura Yura (July 30), with the Yura Yura video depicting the four members enjoying a summer night in a real town, dancing together and ending with fireworks.
