Aimee Echo
Aimee Echo Rodrigues, born March 27, 1970 in California, is an American singer. She first became famous as the frontwoman of the band Human Waste Project, leading them from 1994 until they broke up in 1998. She then started theSTART, which she co-founded with her husband Jamie Miller, and also led its side project Normandie.
Alongside her music career, Echo is a practiced and authorized teacher of Ashtanga yoga. She started practicing yoga in Los Angeles in 1999, and began traveling to India almost every year from 2007 to study with KPJAYI teachers. She received authorization to teach Ashtanga Yoga from R. Sharath in 2010.
Echo studied at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and is a certified health coach and massage therapist. She has taught at Jois Yoga and owns Ashtanga Yoga Long Beach.
She is married to Jamie Miller, the drummer of Bad Religion, and they live in Zaferia, Long Beach.
