FK Beograd (Serbia)
FK Beograd (Serbian Cyrillic: ФК Београд) was a football club from Karaburma, Belgrade, Serbia. It was founded in 1929 and dissolved in 2012. The team played at Stadion FK Beograd, which has a capacity of about 1,000.
History in brief:
- After winning the Belgrade Zone League in 1993–94, they finished runners-up in the 1994–95 Serbian League North and earned promotion to the Second League of FR Yugoslavia.
- They finished 16th in their first season in the second tier.
- In 1999–2000, they won the Second League (Group North) but ceded their 2000–01 First League spot to Sartid Smederevo.
- They spent the next four seasons in the second tier, then were relegated in 2004.
- For the next eight years they played in the Serbian League Belgrade, finishing as runners-up in 2005–06.
- In July 2012, FK Beograd failed to renew its registration, and a new club, FK Beograd 1929, was founded to continue the club’s legacy.
Notes: The Second League of FR Yugoslavia was the second tier, and the Belgrade Zone League was the fourth tier.
