Adi Hütter
Adi Hütter is an Austrian football coach and former player, born on 11 February 1970 in Hohenems, Austria. He was a midfielder who played for several Austrian clubs, including Austria Salzburg, Grazer AK and LASK. He won the Austrian Bundesliga three times with Austria Salzburg (1993–94, 1994–95, 1996–97) and the Austrian Cup with Grazer AK in 2001–02. He also reached the UEFA Cup final in 1993–94. He earned 14 caps for Austria and scored 3 goals. He retired from playing in 2007 due to an Achilles tendon injury.
As a coach, Hütter started with Red Bull Salzburg Juniors and then led clubs such as Altach, Grödig, and Red Bull Salzburg, where he won the league and cup double in 2014–15. He then moved to Young Boys in Switzerland, winning the Swiss league in 2017–18. He coached Eintracht Frankfurt from 2018 to 2021, guiding them to the Europa League semifinals and earning Coach of the Year honors. He then managed Borussia Mönchengladbach for part of 2021–22 and 2022–23 before joining Monaco in 2023. At Monaco, he finished as runners-up in 2023–24, helped the team reach the Champions League group stage, and placed third in 2024–25 before being sacked on 9 October 2025.
Personal life: Hütter is married and has one daughter. His nickname Adi comes from his given name Adolf, which his family kept to remember his uncle who died young; he is commonly called Adi to avoid negative associations with Adolf Hitler.
