Diluvium is the fifth studio album by the German metal band Obscura, released on July 13, 2018, through Relapse Records. It is the final part of the band’s four‑album concept series, following Cosmogenesis (2009), Omnivium (2011), and Akróasis (2016). The album runs 51 minutes and 32 seconds and blends technical death metal with progressive metal. Recording took place in October–November 2017 at Woodshed Studios (Landshut, Germany) and Lanser Studio (Salzburg, Austria), with V. Santura as producer. All lyrics were written by Steffen Kummerer. Singles include the title track “Diluvium” (May 8, 2018), “Emergent Evolution” (June 13, 2018), “Ethereal Skies” (July 2, 2018), and “Mortification of the Vulgar Sun” (July 13, 2018).
