Jamie Aleshia Scott
Jamie Aleshia Scott (born March 7, 1982) is an American Democratic politician serving in the Arkansas Senate for the 12th district. She took office on January 13, 2025, succeeding Linda Chesterfield.
Before joining the Senate, Scott served in the Arkansas House of Representatives. She represented the 37th district from January 14, 2019, to January 9, 2023, succeeding Eddie Armstrong and followed by Steve Hollowell. She then represented the 72nd district from January 9, 2023, to January 13, 2025, succeeding Steve Magie and followed by Tracy Steele. She was elected to the 37th district unopposed in the November 6, 2018 election, and she was re-elected unopposed in 2022 for the 72nd district.
Scott co-chairs the Arkansas chapter of the Future Caucus with Clarke Tucker, Breanne Davis, and Aaron Pilkington. She received the Future Caucus Rising Star Award in 2021 for cross-partisan leadership and was an inaugural member of the Future Caucus 19th Collective.
