Abdullahi Yousuf
Abdullahi Yousuf (died 1977) was an Oromo politician in Ethiopia and a member of the All-Ethiopian Socialist Movement (Meison). While studying in Europe, he worked with Haile Fida in the Union of Ethiopian Students in Europe and helped develop Afaan Oromo as a written language. Early in the Ethiopian Revolution, he was appointed head of the Provisional Office for Mass Organizational Affairs (POMOA) in Hararghe, where he disarmed Shoan Christian settlers and implemented land reform. He was killed in August 1977 during a visit to Addis Ababa, amid a break between Meison and the Derg.
